RIFLE SHOOTING

KIWI DEFENCE CLUB The second competition of No. 3 match (Greenfield Memorial) was fired by members of the Kiwi Defence Rifle Club on Saturday afternoon. Ten shots, and two optional sighters were fired at 300yds aud 600yds. The weather was ideal, although the heat was somewhat trying for the majority of riflemen. A tricky wind was in evidence at 600yds and required careful watching. Some good scores were registered, notably by'Riflemen H. Whitehead (49 at 300yds') and C. H. M'Keicli (46 at 600yds).
