——“ ■ i£» ■ HELP IN QUEBEC MONTREAL, January '7. An appeal is being made to the Quebec- Provincial Government for action to be taken in the case of farmers’ sons throughout the province numbering between 40,000 and 60,000 who are unable to settle upon the land through lack of funds. It is contended that , the plight of young farmers is one of the most serious problems facing agriculture in Quebec to-day. Th.e Provincial Government will bo asked to form a commission which will establish a system of colonisation. Establishment of an independent commission to investigate the fanners’ lot generally, prices prevailing at public markets, and the cost of agricultural implements will be advocated.
