SANDERS CUP BOATS.

TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —As a prospective boatbuilder competitor in future Sanders Cup trials 1 would like to know exactly what the representative for the Otago Association on the New Zealand Yachting Council intends to propose in respect of the suggested change in the design of boat for future contests. . I ami of the opinion that if the design is to bo changed at all it should be a cheaper class, about 14 or 16 feet, and strictly, one design from the start. The adoption of a restricted class with a view; to changing to one design - in the future would cause a lack of confidence in the intending boatbuilder. Surely boatbuilding is far enough advanced to permit of selecting a type without the expense of further experimenting.—l) am, etc., Definite Decision. January 19.
