Nearly 100 cancer experts from Australia and New Zealand have been invited to attend a conference at Canberra from April 17 to April 20. The chief proposal relates to the better education of the public upon early treatment of cancer or anything suggestive of cancer. ENCOURAGING RESULTS HOBART, January 17. At the Australian and New Zealand Medical Congress Dr J. H. Cumpston, Director-General of Health for the Commonwealth, said that the death rate from all forms of cancer had increased from 96 to 105 per 100,000 persons during the past four years. He was, however, convinced that results from the treatment of cancer were definitely improving.
