INDIGNATION IN HOLLAND
DISPOSAL OF VAN DER LOOSE'S BODY GERMANY'S ACTION RESENTED PreM Association —By Telegraph—Copyright AMSTERDAM, January 12. There is great indignation over the German Government refusing permission for Van der Lubbe’s body to, be conveyed to Holland. The relatives were informed that the body was available at any time, but it must be immediately buried without ceremony in Leipzig at the expense of the Van der Lnbbe family. The Dutch Government ordered the, Minister in Berlin to urge reconsideration, of thd decision It is emphasised that Van der Lnbbe s ramily is poor and unable to travel to Leipzig. It is suggested that Germany’s reason for rejection of the family’s request was that an examination by Dutch criminal anatomists might confirm the suspicion that drugs were administered to induce apathy; and, further, that Germany was anxious to avoid, antiGerman demonstrations, which inevitably would attend a funeral in Holland.
