ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY'S CONCERT

The fourth concert of the forty-sixth season will be given in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, on Saturday evening, at 8. The orchestral numbers include suite ‘ The Country Side ’ (Eric Coates), overture ‘Di Ballo ’ (Sullivan), symphonic poem ‘Finlandia’ (Sibelius), finale of Tschaikowsky’s ‘Fifth Symphony,’ and ‘ Tarantelle ’ (Raff). Miss M. Service will play a valse for piano (with string accompaniment). Trio for piano, violin, and cello, Mr T. Vernoil Griffiths (piano); Miss Stella Bayley (violin), and Mr W. Gil landers (Cello). The Orina Choir, under the direction of Miss Ida White, will sing ‘ Orpheus With His Lute ’ (Edward German), ‘lt Was a Lover ami His Lass’ (Vaughan Williams), ‘ Music When Soft Voices Die ’ (Charles Wood), and ‘To tho_ Thames ’ (George Dyson). The assisting vocalists are Mr A. Fleming and Miss J. M'Millan.
