IN COMMEMORATION
Next week 4YA is to present programmes in commemoration of Dominion Day and the birth of Horatio Viscount Nelson. The Dominion Day broadcast is to take place on Monday evening, when the programme will feature New Zealand music and New Zealand artists. It should prove thoroughly enjoyable, and will include items' by Ernest M'Kinlay, the Rotorua Maori Choir, Gil Deck’s Orchestra (Maori melodies), Te Mauri Methane, Royal Air Force Band, and Lex M'Donald, while Mr C. It. Allen will talk on the subject of ‘ New Zealand Authors.’ Other items are -scheduled for presentation during the evening. Forty minutes will be taken up by music in commemoration of the birth of Nelson in 1758. This is to be given on Friday next, when appropriate selections are billed.
