The South Dunedin branch of the Women’s Christian f lemperfince Union held its monthly meeting on ihursday, when Mrs Williamson gave an address. \ n invitation from the Green Island branch was accepted, and it was decided to call officially. A paper was read by the secretary regarding the marriageable age of girls and boys, and a list of names was sent m m the form of a petition to Parliament in the way of protest. It was decided to send congratulations to Mrs M'Combs, the successful candidate for Lyttelton. Mrs Donaldson (president) reported on the meeting of the Nstionfll Council or Women. The death was reported of Mrs Crow, an old member, and it was decided to send a letter of sympathy to Mr Crow. , Miss MacArthur offered a roll hoard, which was accepted.
