NORTH-EAST VALLEY At the annual meeting of the Church of Christ, North-east Valley, Principal A. L. Haddon, M.A., presided over a fair attendance. The church report showed a steady increase in the communicant membership with a high average attendance, and all auxiliaries reported a very satisfactory year’s work. The church had been liberal in giving to outside causes, and had taken monthly collections for unemployment relief, ’ . The Sunday school superintendent (Mr W. Beadle) reported a roll number of fifty, and a good teaching staff. The secretary of the George street Sunday school (Mr M’Kenzie), stated that there were forty-one scholars on tho roll, and the school was in a good condition. . . , TT The Bible class, Ladies’ Club, Haeremai Club, and Kappa Sigma Pi, all presented favourable reports showing that a keen interest is being maintained in the various auxiliaries of the church. The treasurer’s report, although not quite so favourable as Jast_ jears, showed a credit balance notwithstanding prevailing conditions, which is a cause for satisfaction.
