EXCITING MYSTERY FILM

* DEVIL IS DRIVING' FOR STRAND A mystery story of an entirely new type will open a season at the Strand Theatre on Friday. The story of ‘ The Devil Is Driving ’ is built around an ingenious winding tunnel which leads into a many storyed garage. The garage is complete with plants for dismantling and repainting cars, while a staff of mechanics is in attendance so that the appearance of a car can be entirely changed in a few minutes. The tunnel is the scene of some amazing incidents. At one stage the victim of a murder comes hurtling down it propped at his wheel with a lighted cigarette between his lips. Up it come two of the gang with a stolen car, while at the same time the chiefs, finding themselves trapped, come down it in a fast racing car, and it is a one-way tunnel. It is a fitting climax to an exciting film. -
