At the Imperial Fruit Show challenge cups were awarded as follow:—Best Australian exhibit, George Simpson (West Australia), Granny Smiths. Best Tasmanian, W. and H. Caltert, Cleopatras. Best New Zealand, E. H. Turner (Otago),-Jonathans. Other first awards were: W. and H. Calvert, Sturraers; G. Simpson, Dunn’s Seedlings; Illawarra Orchard Ltd., Dohertys; W. and H. Calvert, Democrats.
