UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF DEMONSTRATORS TURNED BACK BY TEAR GAS. Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. OTTAWA (Illinois), April 6. (Received April 7, at 10 a.m.) Eleven hundred unemployment relief demonstrators, mostly from Chicago, en route to the capitol, were turned back at Springfield towards their homes to-day bv a barrage of tear gas. Eleven people were arrested.
