Lister, president of the Chamber of Shipping, declares that international trade will soon be completely damned unless the Government abandons , high tariff walls. Shipowners know that there is no one-way traffic in trade. Shipowners would do their utmost to promote the success ot the Economic Conference because the health of shipping depended on world trade.
