DUNEDIN A’S COMMANDING LEAD With only two more series of matches to play in the Donald Stuart Water Polo Banner competition, Dunedin A clinched its position last night by defeating St. Clair A in the eighth series of matches by 4 goals to 2. The game was one of the most ragged seen this season, but Dunedin’s win by 4 goals to 2 represented the difference in the teams on the night, J. 0. Byrnes scoring for Dunedin twice, while V. Newall and J. Fleming each netted once. S. M'Kenzie, who combined well with W. J. Jarvis, scored 2 goals for St.Clair. The teams were Dunedin A—P. W. Harkess, J. O’Driscoll, D. Newall. V,Newall, J. Byrnes, B. Ketf,' 'and.-TT,-Fleming. St. Clair A—J. Swan, W. Wood, C. Gladwin, W. J. Jarvis, S.M'Kenzie. J. Durand, and J. Faulks. Mr D. C. Bannatyne was the referee.
