He is as much at home in emotional drama as he is in comedy. He is extremely popular since his great success in ‘ and ‘The Champ.’' * Skippy ’ made another juvenile star in addition to Jackie Cooper—Jackie Coogan’s “ kid ” brother, Robert Coogan, who accomplishes an amazing piece of work as Sooky. Young Coogan is living up to a great name. He bears a strong resemblance to the Jackie Coogan of ‘The Kid.’ He hasthe same quality of pathos—the same well-developed sense of comedy—that made Jackie Coogan an international favourite.
Leo Carrillo, famous stage star who toured Australia last year in ‘ Lombardi Ltd.,’ is the star in ‘The Broken Wing.’ As the swaggering bandit who bolds captive the aviator forced down near his camp, Carrillo joins Lupe Velez, Melvyn Douglas, and George Barbier, who have featured roles in this production. Noted for his work in dialect characterisations, Carrillo has been a stage star for many years, his biggest hit having been in ‘ Lombardi Ltd.’ He recently entered talking films, and has not long completed the “ bad man ” role opposite Dolores Del Rio in ‘ The Dove.’ Preceding this work were parts in ‘ Hell Bound/ ‘The Homicide Squad,’ ‘The Guilty Generation,’ and ‘Lascar of the Rio Grand*/
