EXPULSION OF ASIATICS.
TO THE EU1TOI!. Sir, —I note with great interest the report in your Saturday’s issue of Mr Massey’s petition to Parliament, signed by 1,457 petitioners, asking for the immediate expulsion of 0,000 Chinese and Indians. This effort is deserving of all the support that we citizens can give it. Think of the number of our men and boys who could lie profitably employed in'their stead. Mr Massey points out that these Chinese and Indians are of low caste in their own country, and as such cannot bo assimilated into our population, and are therefore of no economic value to the country. What are we citizens thinking of to allow 0,000 of these people to come into the country and exploit us to the extent of sending £600,000 annually out of the country and keeping our men and boys out of'work ? Every day wc see fresh yellow faces creeping into our community. opening shops and being loyally supported by our own people. What are these low-caste Chinese doing to Europeans in China?—l am, etc..
Think, X.Z
