Styche) occupied the chair. A letter was received from the H.AI.S. AVootton recommended, on behalf of the Flag Committee, that the fourth grade competition be closed and Alhambra declared the winners.—The recommendation was approved. Air T. Porter said that the Port Chalmers Club had asked him to obtain the views of the committee on the advisability of having a senior B grade next season.—After a brief, informal discussion it was decided to suggest that the Port Chalmers Club should send forward a remit to be considered at tho annual meeting of the union.— The Chairman said that if the matter was brought up in the form of a remit it could be discussed by the clubs and tho committee before the annual meeting. Mr D. AI. Stuart said that it was pleasing to note that, although the teams which had taken part in the unemployment benefit match at Tahupa Park c.n Saturday had been picked hurriedly, practically every player selected had put in an appearance, and those who had been unable to take part had given the union notice that they were not available. The committee appreciated the sporting action of the players concerned.—The Chairman .said that tho willingness of the players to assist was particularly gratifying in view of the fact that tlio season had reached such a late stage.
