'THE LOST COMET ' OPERETTA
A delightful operetta, The Lost Comet,’ will be presented in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Thursday, Julv 7. by Miss Muriel Eager’s jurenilee. The operetta (to be performed for the first time in Dunedin) is unusually iiiteresting and original mil character, abounding with fascinating melodies, bright choruses, cute comedy, clever dialogue, dainty dancing, and beautiful costumes. The story concerns tho visit of the Starlight Sisters,J;he Moon King, , the Sun King, the Wind King, the Cloud King, the Ram King, find Sirius, the Dog Star, to the hotao of Mother Earth, in search of their lost friend, tho Comet. The situations dfs humorous and entertaining, and cannot fail to delight young and old. The first part of the programme will comprise piano solos and duets, vocal solos and duets, recitations, piano class demonstration, and part songs by the choir, ’■ Apart from the excellence of the programme, the fact that the proceeds ar» in aid of the Free Kindergarten should ensure the generous support of the public. .
