CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW
The Town Hall should present a beautiful spectacle when the Dunedin Hortieiiltural 'Society's exhibition of flowers, fruit, and vegetables is opened to the’ public to-morrow afternoon. This is the first time that the Horticultural Society is holding an exhibition in Dunedin's popular Town Mall, auu those who are competent to pass an opinion agree that the environment should enhance the show from an exhibition point of view. It is intended to decorate the main entrance, to have hanging baskets suspended troin the gallery?” and to decorate the choir seats on the stage. The exhibits, hpth competitive and those lor exhibition only, will, of course, occupy the ground floor. Promises of assistance have been forthcoming from far and near, and especially should the stands tor exhibition only he a feature of the show. To make the exhibition doubly attractive to tbe general public splendid will bo staged both afternoons and evenings. Messrs C. Begg and Co. have installed a Phileo radio broadcasting set, which will supply items both afternoon and evening, and in additio nitems will he given during the evening by the Otago School of Dancing (under the leadership of Miss Webster!. Air J. V. Hanna's p'luils will stage a gymnastic performance. and Boggs' Orchestra will play on Saturday evening. As the net proceeds of this exhibition will he devoted to (ho “ Come to Dunedin ” Week effort on behalf of the unemployed. it is liooed that tile public will attend in, large numbers.
