WEST HARBOUR’S ALLOTMENT INSUFFICIENT

The Town Clerk of West Harbour (Mr W. Connor') has wired the Prime Minister as follows ;—“ Allotment for unemployed inadequate. Impossible to carry on without increased allocation. £2O short this week, £3O next week. Reconsider allocation on account of hardship. We have loyal workers here, and the help would bo appreciated.” A copy of this telegram has also been forwarded to Mr .1. W. Munro, M.P. The following reply has been received: —“Have received your telegram regarding unemployment, and have noted the representations, about which I am conferring with the Minister of Unemployment.”
