OTAGO RUGBY LEAGUE
A meeting of the Otago Rugby Football League Executive was held last evening, Air T. Al. Gillies presiding. The New Zealand League advised that, the league’s communication in regard lo the repayment of moneys had received the attention of the Council of Alnnagernent. The matter had since been referred to the Finance Committee for an immediate report. L. A. AUDonald, captain of the Athletic Club, applied for a transfer to the City Club. He appeared before the executive, and, after being asked
by the chairman to remain with bis dub, agreed to the request. Air Holloway, in relcrnng to the visit of the English team to New Zealand, said the Otago League should bo represented at the test match to bo played at Christchurch. Ho moved that the president represent tho league;— Tho motion was carried, and Mr Gillies intimated that ho would make the trip if possible. Messrs Brennan, Al’Cabo, and M'Crae were appointed selectors to nominate players for tile South Island team and" any other representative teams for the season. Air M'Crae reported that the Logan Park ground was in a bad state last Saturday owing to tho presence of a pool of water. —It was decided that in tho event of the ground being in the same condition on Saturday the match between Athletic and Christian Brothers be played on tho Oval, starting at 2 p.m. SATURDAY’S MATCHES. Athletic v. Christian Brothers, Logan Park (Air A. Townsend); City v. Pacific, Oval (Air G. Parker).
