GOOD TEMPLARY

The weekly meeting of the Sunshine Junior Lodge, No. 4. was. held in the St. Andrew’s Church Sunday School Hall, Bridgman street, Kensington, on Wednesday. Sister J. Cameron, C.T., presided and visitors were present from the Rescue. Lodge. A candi- * date was initiated at each of the last two meetings, and a trophy is to be awarded the member bringing in the most new members to the order in this particular lodge, which is an intermediate between the .juveniles and adult branches. Correspondence was received from Bro. F. C. Pace, G.S.J.W., Auckland, and conveyed fraternal greetings to the officers and members. The Silver Star Temple, No. 9, under the guidance of Sister Rayner, S.J.W., met on Wednesday. C.T. Sister P. Rackley presided. A number of visitors from the Hope of Dunedin Lodge were present. Bro. J. South was judged the winner of- the drawing competition. The election of officers was proceeded with, but the names were not handed in. Bro. South gave an address on ‘ Temperance.’ The Star of Victory Temple, No. 31* met in' the Kaikorai Presbyterian Sunday School " Hall, with Sister Williamson in charge. C.T. Sister 1.Paterson presided over a fair attendance. Bro. Sell congratulated the . members on their item given on Easter Tuesday. Sister Robinson spoke a few words. The following members gave items: —Sister J. Brown, Sister, P. ’Adcock, Bro. J. Flett, Sister Robinson, and Bro. J.. Kennedy. The Hope of Dunedin Lodge, No. 155* 1.0.G.T., met on Wednesday. C.T.Bro. E. J. South presided over a good , attendance of members. Visitors were present from other lodges. Two candid dates were initiated, and Bro. Smith* of All Nations’ Lodge, joined as an associate member. Reports _ w r ere re-i ceived from the Queen Carnival Committee and the Sports Committee* Supper wuis handed round, and the election of officers resulted in the same officers being elected for the next quarter. The Radiant Morn Temple, No. 21* held its weekly meeting on Saturday evening, when. Sister M- Burgess presided over a large attendance, including members of the temple executive* the superintendent being in charge. Three candidates were initiated and welcomed. It being election night and installation of officers, the following members were placed in the various positions:—C.T., Bro. W. Mason; V.T., Bro. L. Munroe; chaplain, Sister D. Freeman; P.C.T., Bro* L. Andrews; marshal, Bro. C. Munroe; deputy-marshal, Sister Browui; secretary, Bro. L. Hornal; assistant secretary, Sister M. Burgess; guard, Bro* H. White; sentinel, Bro. Colin Freeman; financial secretary, Sister 11. Tait (re-elected); treasurer, Sister Mrs Reeves (re-elected). The superintendent, assisted by members of the executive as installing marshals, installed the officers. The retiring officers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The weekly meeting of the Hope ofj Cavershain Lodge, No. 128, was held in the Baxter Hall, Marion street* C.T. Sister Mrs Giles presided over a fair attendance of members and visitors from Rescue and Conquest Lodges. The programme for the evening was election, of officers, the following being elected:, —C.T., Sister Mrs Leishinan; V.T.* Sister Mrs Blyth; chaplain, Sister Mrs Wilson; P.C.T., Sister Mrs Giles; financial secretary, Bro. Restieanx; treasurer, Bro. Hilton (re-elected); marshal, Bro; Stanley (re-elected); deputymarshal, Sister Riley (re-elected); secretary, Sister Steed man; guard, Bro* Seque; sentinel, Bro. Dick; rept. Bro* Giles, seji.; organiser, Sister Steednlan (re-elected). After the election the following gave readings;—Bros. Crawshaw’, Hilton, and Giles.
