News has been received by the Air Ministry that while it was engaged in reconnaisanco duties with the Iraq army in Northern Kurdistan, a Royal Air Force machine was forced to land amongst hostile tribesmen. The pilot (Flying-officer Wells) and Leading Aircraftsman Evans were taken prisoners, but it has been ascertained that they are alive and well.
