REV. A. J. SEAMER'S MAORI CHOIR
Most interesting functions have been held throughout the greater part of Otago and Southland in connection with the 110th anniversary of the establishment of the Methodist Church in New Zealand and the ninety-second anniversary of its establishment in Otago. A strong delegation of Maori church workers, orators, musicians, and singers from all parts of the dominion, including _ Chatham Islands, have been touring the province holding services and demonstrations at the Maori pas and also in all the towns. The singers of the delegation, known throughout the dominion as Rev. A. J. Seamer’s Maori Choir, are so-popular that there is scarcely a hall in the dominion large enough to hold the crowds that flock to hear them when they are advertised to give one of their popular programmes. During the week the party has visited the Maoris at Puketeraki and Otakou and have been accorded outstanding welcomes. The ceremonies were most impressive. During the next ten days the party will visit local churches, and the choir will give several popular programmes.
