TOWN RESERVES.
TO THE EDITOR, Sir, —Many months ago now one of our councillors was protesting at a council meeting about the unsightly w,fy the conveniences wore left in the Octagon after Mr Tannock bad caused to bo removed all the shelter that they had. T believe a letter was road from. Mr Tannock saying that when lie was finished with the job alll would bo well.
That is a long time ago now, and still nothing has been done about it, and I cannot understand yet why the hedge was removed in the first place. Is nothing further to be done about it? Also, at the back of the Gardens, Dundas street end. we have had for quite a few months now a job that has not been completed. The track through to the Gardens has been taken away altogether for some distance, and 1 did think this.would have been fixed up before Christmas time, but it is still the same,_ and is at times after rain almost quite impassable, besides being dangerous. This is one of the main tracks and is a positive disgrace.—l am, etc., Eyesore. January 29.
