JAYSON WINS PRINCIPAL EVENT For the second day of the Pahiatua Racing Club’s Meeting there was excellent weather and the course was in splendid order. The attendance was good. The totalisator handled £4,303, as against £7,536 on the same day last year. The total for the meeting was £8,961, compared with £14,959 last year. Chopin shot out on the rails and joined issue 100yds from the distance. Jayson then came on the scene, and a good finish saw Jayson win by a head; a length between second and third.
