A BARREN TITLE
Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. LONDON, January 6. (Received January 7, at 11 a.m.) “ Australia is entitled to call herself the world’s champion if she likes, but the title is rather barren,” said Hobbs, when commenting on the result of the tests. “ The Australians’ suggestion of of a triangular contest between England, South Africa, and Australia is impracticable. It was tried in 1912 without success. Why limit the contest? West Indies and New Zealand have good claims to inclusion.”
