(Received December 23, at 12.45 p.m.) The ex-Kaiser commenced the Christmas festivities by presenting firewood, which he chopped himself, to eighty families on the estate staff. The exKaiser, his wife Hermione, two daughters, and members of his suite stood at a table in his garden and handed out gifts, which included food and clothing. The cx-Kaiser’s own festivities will be very quiet, and will include a Christmas tree which jic chopped down himself. His Christmas sermon will be delivered in his private chapel.
