SMALL BOY’S DEATH. A distressing fatality occurred yesterday afternoon, the victim being * schoolbov, Leonard Frederick bnuth,aged eight years, who resided with his parents at 17 Perth avenue. At about 1.50 the lad left home, saying that he was going to play with another boy.r At about 2.30 he was found lying m a vacant section near the top of Carroll street, having evidently fallen from a tree. He was unconscious and was at once conveyed to the hospital suffering from head injuries. Sis condition gradually became worse, and ,he died at 9.20 p.m. An inquest was held at the hospital this afternoon.

A ROADMAN’S DEATH. A verdict of death from natural causes was returned by the coroner at the inquest concerning the death ot Christopher Collins a road man, who was found dead in his whare at Hangaroa early on Monday morning—Gisborne Press Association telegram. DEATH FROM INJURIES. Admitted to the hospital suffering from internal injuries, Mrs C. J. Elliott. a passenger in one of the taxis which collided at Wellington South on Monday night, died this morning.—* Press Association telegram,. MISSING SINCE JULY.. At the inquest on George Thomas Hall, whose badly decomposed body was found in the harbour on December 17,and whose identification was established by X-ray photographs of a broken leg, ; evidence was given that deceased’s real name was Jesse Mercpr, hut that ha changed it when he came to New Zealand. The deceased had been missing since July 26.—Wellington Press Association telegram. FOUND DEAD. Robert Lindsay Parker, aged forty, who lived in rooms at 272 George street, was found dead this morning. He was lying beside a gas tube, the gas being turned on. As far as is known the deceased was a native of England, and had no relatives in New Zealand. An inquest will be held to-morrow morning.
