RURAL TRAGEDY

SEVEN PERSONS DROWNED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. VANCOUVER, December 20. A fearful pre-Christmas tragedy overtook a small community ten miles from Muskegon, Michigan. Orville Oman, aged seven, received a present of a hand sleigh, and took it to an icecovered lake for a tryout. Suddenly a crash came, and the horrified parents saw him disappear. His father, mother, and brother tried to rescue him, but were all drowned. Then throe young men, brothers named Morgan, rushed to the rescue, taking a boat with them, hut this overturned and they were all drowned. A dog belonging to the Morgans raced frantically homo and made such a fuss that it attracted help, and the seven bodies were recovered.
