THE 'RED WORKER'
CHARGE OF SEDITIOUS INTENTION [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 22. The issue of ‘ The Red Worker,’ a paper closely associated with the Communist movement in Wellington, on September 14 resulted in the appearance of the proprietor and publisher, J. J. Robinson, in. the’ Police Court to-day on a charge of printing and publishing a paper expressing seditious intention, contrary to the war regulations. Ho elected to be tried at the Supreme Court, but it was ascertained that there was no provision for such an option in the Act under which Robinson is charged. The magistrate (Mr M'Neil, S.M.) adjourned the case till January 18 and admitted Robinson to bail in £25.
