KINGSFORD SMITH’S RETURN FLIGHT NOT TO FLY OVER TURKISH TERRITORY Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 18. Fearing complications in the event of a forced landing, the British authorities have requested Air-commodore Kingsford Smith not to fly over Turkish territory on his return trip to Australia. KUGBY, December 18. Hinkler •was received by the Prince of Wales, to whom ho related his experiences on his record-making flight across the Southern Atlantic. The Prince also received S. Watkins and Augustine Courtauld, the Arctic explorers. They took with them to York House a number of charts and photographs,' in which the Prince displayed keen interest. HINKLER’S FUTURE 1 LONDON, December 19. The * Daily Herald ’ says that Hinkler is giving Britain a month to make up her mind whether she will employ him. - If not he will accept a big job in the United States. The_ ‘Daily Telegraph ’ expresses the opinion that it is probable that Hinkler will bo retained by a famous British firm of aero engine manufacturers as a test pilot. COLONEL BRINSMEAD LONDON, December 20. i The Dutch Airline has infprmed the Australian Press Association that Colonel Brinsmead, who was injured in the air liner crash at Bangkok, is progrossing slowly towards recovery.
