FATAL BRAWL

[Per United Press Association.l AUCKLAND, December 20. Following a brawl in Atkihsonj avenue, Otahuhu, at G. 30 p.m. jester* day, Frederick Lovelock, i aged forty* two, of Hutton street, Otahuhu, killed. The affair took place at thai back of an hotel where a number qfj men had been drinking. A quarrel i$ said to have arisen as the men were! leaving the hotel, and blows are alleged to have been struck. Lqvelock wad hit and fell, and his head' is believed to have struck a stone. Death was almost instantaneous. / Lovelock was a married man witif four children. He was foreman at| R. and W. Hellaby 5 s Meat Works at Westfield. No arrest had been made up to this afternoon. An inquest was opened and adjourned.
