HOUSE OF LORDS AMENDMENT ACCEPTED BY COMMONS. Preas Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 9. (Deceived December 10, at 1.30 a.rn.) The House of Commons agreed to the House of Lords’ amendment to the Statute of Westminster that it should operate from the date of the Royal assent, but rejected a shelving amendment proposed by Mr E. Majoribanks, tin effect of which, the Speaker declared, would be to wreck the Bill.
