Forcing an entrance to a gas-filled bedroom in a fiat at Westminster, the police found Lady Torrington dead in bed with a gas ring by her side. She was formerly a well-known figure on the stage and turf. She was at one time a Gaiety girl. [Lady Torrington obtained a divorce from her husband in 1921. She was the eldest daughter of Mr Edward Souray, Long Ditton, Surrey. She married Lord Torrington in 1910.]
