Y.M.C.A. CHRISTMAS TREE
For a number of years now the Y.M.C.A. has staged a special Christ-', mas treat for the poor boys and girls; of the city. Every year over 200 poor, 1 children have been invited to this treat,- \ have enjoyed a sumptuous Christmas; dinner, and have also been entertained i by a number of local artists. At the,end of the feast every child is pre-; sented with a Christmas gift. .This function is organised by Mr T. Wilkin-, son, who has hitherto been able to meet, the expense from donations drawn from' the Y.M.C.A. members and his friends,' This year, however, funds are somewhat scarce, and an appeal is being' made to the public to help to make possible this feast as in previous years.Donations of toys (new, or used and in good condition) will be welcomed by, the Y.M.C.A.; or, if the address is passed on to the office, the Club will call and collect the toys* Toys must he handed in before December 19.
