BOXING

JONHS BEATS LECKIE [Pm Unhid Pais* Association.] AUCKLAND, November 28. Harry Johns, of Auckland, regained the light-weight championship of New Zealand in the Town Hall to-night when ho won on points from Johnny Leckie. The winner scored many points in the earlier rounds, and Leckie, realising that he had a lot of leeway to inake up, forced the pace over the concluding stages, and nearly succeeded in knocking Ins opponent out in the last round. Leckie, however, left his run too late, and Johns was a fairly comfortable winner on points. . •
