“ A.B.O.”—(1) Incomes up to £3OO are exempt from tho payment of income tax. Incomes from £3OO to £450 arc taxed on excess over £3OO only. Beyond £450 the £3OO exemption is gradually reduced until there is no exemption at £9OO. (2) Incomes of wife and husband are assessed separately, and each gets tho £SOO exemption.
