SUNDAY SERVICES
At First Church the Rev. W. Allen Stevely will preach in the morning on 4 The Idealism of Faith,’ and in the evening on 4 The Roses of God.’ Miss Pearl Westland will be at the organ. The Rev. S. Nixon will conduct both services at Knox Church. The Rev. George Miller will conduct services at the N.E. Valley Presbyterian Church, the morning subject being 4 The Ideal Man,’ and the evening 4 Pilgrim’s Progress—lgnorance and Little Faith.’ After the evening service the organist, Mr Macfie, will give a short organ recital. The Rev. G. B. Hinton will be the morning preacher at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, and in the evening the Rev. H. E. Bellhouse will conduct the service, taking as his subject ‘ Curiosity and Jesus.’ The choir will render the anthem 4 God is a Spirit,’ and the solo 4 The Lord is My Light ’* will also be sung. The service will be broadcast by 4YA. Central Mission services will be conducted by the Rev. H. E. Bellhouse in the morning and the Rev. G. B. Hinton in the evening. A specially selected recital of sacred music, both instrumental and vocal, will be rendered at the evening service through the electrical gramophone equipment. The Rev. J. A. Lqchoro will conduct services in the Cargill Road Methodist Church to-morrow, preaching on 4 God’s Unfailing Guarantee ’ in the morning and 4 The Touch of Jesus ’ in the evening. , Mr A. E. Orr (divinity student) will conduct the morning service in the St. Clair Methodist Church to-morrow, and Mr T. H. Dalton in the evening. At St. Kilda Methodist Church Rev. A. C. Lawry will preach at both services, and the Communion service will be held in the evening. • The Rev. John Shaw, of Timaru, will conduct the services at the Congregational Church, Moray place. The subject of his morning address will be 4 Why Worry? ’ and in the evening ha will speak on 4 Lo Cafard in the Soul.' Communion will be observed at the close of the morning service at the United Congregational Church. The Rev. James M. Smeetli will preach morning and evening, and in the evening Mr W. Thomas will play a cornet solo. The services at the Salvation Army Citadel, Dowling street, will be conducted by Captain and Mrs Chandler, this being their second last Sunday m Dunedin. Both at the 11 a.m. holiness meeting and the people’s popular service at 7 p.m., Captain Chandler will deliver special addresses. The Citadel Silver Baud and Songster Brigade will support. Higher Thought and Healing Centra will meet in Harrop Street Hall; speaker, Mr Perry. In York Place Hall the preacher m the evening will be Mr G. \. Nagel. _ The Spiritualist Church resumes its service in the evening, when the president, Mr llidd, will occupy the platform.
