The Chancellor of tho Exchequer (Mr Philip Snowden) .informed the House of Commons that lie had received an interim report of the gold delegation of tho Financial Committee of the League of Nations, which considered the possibility of future supplies of new gold proving inadequate to moot world requirements. Tho measures suggested to meet such an eventuality wore international in scope. The committee had not yet completed its investigations and no action would bo taken until recommendation# had been made.
