OTAGO ASSOCIATION MEETS The Otago Yacht and Motor Boat ! Association met last night, Mr J. T. j Paul presiding. i Mr T. H. Powles, of Lower Hutt [ road, Wellington, wrote inquiring tor 1 tho certificate for June, which ho now owned. Juno represented Otago in tho ; Sanders Cup contest at Wellington j some years ago. The president said ■ he would ascertain particulars of the' issue of tho certificate from Mr Duncan i Cameron, who was conference secretary at the time. The Vauxhall Boating Cluh advised i that E. and J. Burt, E. Partel, and 1 E. Knox had been selected as the club’s i representatives in the Cornwell Cup ‘ trials. 1 Mr Paul said the Otago Club would , probably not bo represented in the s Mr W. H. Hewitt said tho Vauxhall j Club had several crows available, as j three boats were in comrdission. How- j ever, if a club without a boat had a ; likely crew, a boat would bo placed i at its service. ’ Tho Maeandrew Bay Club would nominate' four bo vs, reported Mr W. Eiddell. Registered numbers were allotcd as follows:—Mr Jack Hudson’s, Tuatca, 25; Sigma X, 48; Pupuke, 49. Tho association decided to iircsent the Wakefield Cup to Air Hugh Speight, owner of the outboarder Argo, at the function on the combined opening day.
