Wing-commander Kingsford Smith made a record flight from Aleppo to Bushire in one hop. This had never hitherto been done. ARRIVAL AT KARACHI. CHABOT AND PICKTHORNB ABANDON FLIGHT. KARACHI, October IS. (Received October 14, at 10 a.m.) Kingsford Smith arrived at 5 o’clock th's evening. Chabot and Pickthorne arrived, but in consequence of delays are abandoning their flight and are returning by steamer from Karachi. HILL AT RANGOON RANGOON, October 13. (Received October 14, at 10 a.m.) Hill arrived this evening. NIGHT FLIGHT CONTEMPLATED. RUGBY, October 13. (Received October 14, at 11 a.m.) Hill landed at Rangoon, having decided that the journey to Bangkok could not be accomplished before dark. He announced his intention of continuing the journey at midnight, when the full moon will favour the airman. Hill left Lympne on October 5, his intention being to visit his parents in Queensland during his leave from service. DEPARTURE FOR SINGORA. RANGOON, October 14. (Received October 14, at 11 a.m.) Hill left for Singora shortly after midnight. ACROSS AMERICA SIRS MILLER ATTEMPTS TO LOWER RECORD. NEW YORK, October 13. Received October 14, at 8.30 a.m.) A message from Valley Stream states that Mrs Keith Miller, the British aviatrix, took off from Curtiss Field for Los Angeles at 6.30 this morning in an effort to lower the women’s transcontinental record, recently established by Miss Laura Ingalls. She lias planned to make the first stop at Indianopolia with an overnight stop at Wichita (Kansas). Mrs Miller is dying a low wing monoplane. ARRIVAL AT KANSAS CITY. NEW YORK, October 13. (Received October 14, at 1 p.m.) A message from Indianapolis states that Mrs Miller left there at 12.35 p.m. for Wichita. A later report states that the aviatrix arrived at Kansas City at 5.10 p.m., and is planning to continue her flight to Wichita tonight. LONDON TO GAPE THE RECORD BEATEN. CAPE TOWN, October 13. (Received October 14. at 10.35 a.m.) Lieutenant Caspareuthus arrived from London, beating the Duchess of Bedford’s record by a day.
