DIVORCE GRANTED
HUSBAND'S PETITION TO COURT
His Honour Mr Justice Kennedy this morning heard a petition by Joseph Foord Wilson for a divorce from Margaret Elizabeth Wilson on the ground of mutual separation for three years or upwards.Mr A. C. Hanlon, with him Mr J. M. Paterson, appeared for the petitioner. , Petitioner stated in evidence that he was married in April, 1886, at Hokitika. There were four children. The marriage was not a happy one as the result of jeal nsy, and his wife and he entered into an agreement for separation in 1901. He had maintained her since then. After hearing corroborative, evidence His Honour made a decree nisi, to be made absolute after the expiration of three months.
Father: “And you think you will be able to give my daughter nil she wants?” Suitor; “ Certain of it, sir. She says she wants only me.”-
