Fcnnelly. past president of tho British Association of Practical Psychology, will open his series of lectures in Dunedin with tho subject ‘Sleep and Dreams: Their Meaning and How to Interpret Them.’ In this lecture the three purposes of sleep will bo explained, the reasons for insomnia, given, and how it is wo can wind ourselves up l.kc an-alarm-clock to wake at any lur-v we wish in the morning. Tho fun mental principles for dream interpretation will be stated ; why children jjrind their teeth and walk in their sleep, and how it is that to Homo people comes tho power of foreseeing the future in their dream visions, and many other interesting discoveries modern science lias made in a world that comparatively recently -was almost unknown. Dr Fenuolly imparts a truth and realism to each subject, and there is a humanity about his teaching few speakers have been lucky enough o secure. There is no charge for admission, but a collection is taken to help defray expenses.
