SKATING BALL
Skating balls and parties are natural results of the enthusiasm for the rein trodneted sport in Dunedin, and several enjoyable nights, after the ordinary sessions, have been held. One of the most recent successes was the ball held by tho staff of Wliitcombe and Tombs, Ltd. at the Regal Skating Rink, when over 300 people enjoyea four hours on wheels. Miss Crawford was tho caterer, a dainty supper being served in her tea rooms adjoining the rink. Tho results of tho various competitions and cleverly arranged novelty events were as follows: Wheelbarrow Race.—-Messrs F. Baker and J. Cameron.
Wash-day Race.—Mrs Bristol* ], Miss M. Broadlov 2, Miss Walker 3. Hoop Race.—Mr F. Baker J . Ladies’ Balloon Race.—Mrs Galbraith.
Tho "find the prize” competition was won by a member of tho complement of Ji.M.S. Dunedin.
