0.8.F.L EXECUTIVE The weekly meeting of the Executive Committee of the Otago Rugby Foot-, ball League was held last night. The president (Mr T.-M. Gillies) occupied the chair. _ , The Christian Brothers’ Old Boys Club was granted the use of the tea rooms for tho evening of Tuesday, September 2, for the purpose of holding a social. , . The ; Otago Ladies’ Hockey Association was granted tho use of the Caledonian Ground for to-morrow night.. ' The. Wholesale-; and Retail Fruiterers applied for the use of the Caledonian Ground for to-morrow.—The application was granted subject, to the usual conditions, and provided that the ground was in a fit state for play on that day. One amount of .insurance was passed for'payment. _ A report was received on. tho filling in and drainage of the playing, area at the stadium. It was stated that the work was now well in hand, and verysatisfactory progress was being made. The matter of extras was referred to the' engineer for action. It was • suggested that the secretary of the Unemployment Relief Committee bd informed that the League was prepared to stage 'two■ matches at the Caledonian Ground on Saturday, September 27, for .unemployment relief. The matter was left for the secretary to get into touch with the secretary of tho Relief Committee, .
