AMERICAN TARIFF

REACTION ON MARKETS FALL IN STOCKS Press Association—By Telegraph—-Copyright. NEW YORK, Juno 14. The passage of the Tariff Bill reacted on all the markets to-day, and stocks showed persistent liquidation and short selling during the two-hour session, several' promi.nent issues, including International Telephone and Telegraph and Anaconda Copper, falling even below the panic quotations of last November. The fear of retaliation by foreign metallurgical interests reacted on copper stock. Commodity markets also showed the effects of the situation, and for the first time for over two years July wheat went below a dollar.: Other grains and provisions followed suit, and cotton futures declined 55 points, with heavy selling orders reported from abroad.
