POTTIKG THE WHITE ’ LONDON June 14. The ‘ News of the World ’ offers a valuable trophy for a handicap tournament between Lindrum and M‘Con achy or Davis and Newman, with the condition that potting the white ends the striker’s break and gives the nonstriker the option of respotting . the balls or continuing from where they are left. The paper says that this would end the unsporting potting of the white and double-baulking when the striker finds he has made a bad shot.
