A very attractive programme lias been arranged for to-morrow night’s concert in the Town Hall, when the St, Hilda Band will'present its first concert of the season.- The band will bo- heard in the following numbers : Concert march ‘ The Moa,-' overture ‘ Egmont ’ (Beethoven), selection ‘ The Talisman ’ (Bulfe), and ‘ Twentieth Century Contest March.’ The. services of" the well-known entertainer,’ Mr Alex , Regan, have been secured,'who will make his first appearance before a Dunedin audience after a world tour. A welcome awaits this, popular atrist. , Thei popular Dunedin tenor Mr John Lebcli, will sing ‘ Passing By ’ (Purcell),.and Miss Jessie M'Millan, one of our leading contraltos, will sing ‘ Corisaude; ’ (Sanderson).., Further attrac- " tions , will be -the .appearance? ! o'f bhc . Empire Sttiijg Trio—Miss Ethel Wallace (violinist), Miss Sybil Baker' (pianist), and Mr Lloyd Hunter (’cellist)—wdio will play ‘ Serenata ’ (Toscelli). 'ho Banjo Band, conducted by Mr H. Stokes, is the .only organisation of its kind in New , Zealand, and gives, its first public appearance to-morrow-night, playing the descriptive fantasia ‘Cathedral Chimes.’ Amembership of twenty-five_ players, this ’ and should prove a big attraction. The British footballers hav« been invited as the guests of the St. Hilda Band.
