ROYAL TEA PARTY

The King and Queen, standing at the entrance to the magnificent picture gallery at Buckingham Palace recently, welcomed more than 200 guests who had been invited to the royal afternoon party. It was the first time that the King had been present with the Queen at a social function at /the Palace since his illness, and it was the first afternoon party to be given by their Majesties since 1928. When all had arrived the King and Queen moved from tbo entrance and walked among their guests, smiting and chatting.
